We've still got the Joementum and if Democrats do indeed pick up the Virginia seat for a slim majority it looks as though he's in line for the Homeland Security Committee gavel, and Dodd for the Banking Committee.

Also, and incredibly, Shays was able to survive the onslaught proving that he's truely representive of Connecticut's fourth Congressional district. Hopefully, Simmons will be able to do the same as the provisional and absentee ballots continue to be counted.

Thoughts

Caught the second showing of the Connecticut Senate Debate tonight on C-SPAN and I have to say I feel much better knowing that Joe Lieberman will be returning to represent my family and I in the United States Senate. I'm waiting for a full transcript to link to my favorite links.

While Joe was clearly adept at playing Schlesinger and Lamont off each other I think the key difference between the two challengers was that Schlesinger just had fun out there. He really enjoyed himself and you could see the difference. By comparison Lamont's inexperience shone through. Although, I will admit his speech to Schlesinger toward the end of the debate assuring him that he'll bounce back was hilarious.
